Agricultural Sciences Genetics covers Mendel's Laws — Law of Segregation and Law of Independent Assortment — basic genetic terminology, monohybrid crosses, dihybrid crosses, and how selective breeding is applied in agriculture. In Term 2 you must be able to calculate expected phenotype and genotype ratios and explain how genetic variation is applied to improve crop yield and livestock quality.
